I created this website to inspire and encourage our ball players. I’ve been coaching for some time now. My goal is to teach ball players the game while having fun. Today I can do that while owning, and managing The Amsterdam Hawks travel Baseball and Softball teams.

Despite a relatively under privileged upbringing, I endured some difficult life experiences. I’ve got into trouble as a teenager, with consequences that I had to deal with into my mid twenties. I bounced around from one friends home to another. I didn’t know when my next meal was, I struggled for employment. I moved to Amsterdam, NY with a duffle bag and the clothes on my back. I’ve had to live with some serious hardships due to decisions i made out being ignorant and naive.

That was well over a decade ago. Since then, starting with the change of locale, I started to make a slow steady improvement in my life. I had lots of bridges and hurdles to overcome. This was a tough task and at times I felt beat. Due to hard work, persistence, perseverance, dedication, and the will to win. Along with the love and support from my loving family (Yanira, Anthony, Trinity, and our loving dog Bear), I have overcome my past and have become the man, father, role model, and coach I am today.

Amsterdam Hawks Baseball and Softball will aim at giving our ball players the tools they will need to not only be successful on the field, but off the field as well. My life experiences on and off the field will help me guide our players to be the very best they can be.
